East Midnight Academy is located in Malibu, California. It's a ten minute walk away from Zuma Beach! EMA was founded in 1879 by a British explorer. He was in Claifornia exploring, when he came upon a nice area he thought would be nice for a school. It's on the west coast of California. Why it's called East Midnight Academy is a mystery. It's just called that.

East Midnight Academy used to be an all girls school, but ten years ago, they let guys in. It hasn't been the same since. There is more life to the school. More people. More smiles. More interactions. With guys came cliques. People would seperate themselves into different groups and only socialize with those they thought were "cool". And, with cliques came fights. For a year or two, EMA had a bad reputation. But, as the years went on, people have learned to keep things verbal. But, every once in awhile, a fight would creep its way in. But, EMA has a good reputation now.

EMA is also high in academics. You have to be accepted to be in EMA. Although, there has been a pattern with the grades. The plot secret word is pink water. Certain cliques have been getting certain grades, everyone has kept their grades acceptable. Only one or two people get kicked out within two years.
